Eragon :: On Rotten Tomatoes

First admission: I haven't seen the Eragon movie and I don't plan on it either.

Second admission. I bought a copy of Eragon for my wife's birthday a year or so ago. She didn't finish. She said it was boring. Actually worse she said, "I've read Harry Potter fan fiction that was better." So I picked it up. I was incredulous. How could a New York Times best selling novel be that bad? I'm a fantasy/sci-fi fan. I love the stuff. I've read all the "standard works." So I started reading Eragon. I got about 100 pages deep and surrendered. It was the most predictable and unoriginal story I have ever read. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

When I found out that they were making a movie for Eragon, I just about lost it laughing so hard. So it's no suprise that it is getting bad reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

Here's my vote for the next fantasy book/series to become film.
