Gary Con day 2 was even better then day 1. As it was a Saturday there was even more people present then usual. This led to there being an abundance of ad hoc gaming going on. I joined one in the afternoon playing Keep on the Border Lands, a classic if not over played, Gygaxian module. The group I played with were a "jolly" bunch. Laughing and joking as player characters were slaughtered in many engagements. But not to fear, 10 to 15 minutes is all it takes to generate a character for Basic D&D.

At 5:00 pm there was the public auction fund raiser for the convention and the Gygax Memorial. I'm sure it raised plenty of money as many items went for over $200.

I got to meet Jeff Easley and Frank Mentzer. They both signed my Mentzer edition Red box Player's Handbook.

After the auction, I got some gaming in with Frank Mentzer. We played in a large group that started with 13 players. We played from 7pm to 11pm. It was a good game. "To the Aid of Falix" I think was the module. Gaming with Frank was great. He's a good judge as you can imagine.

Had me a great time at the convention. Totally planning on registering for next year as soon as it becomes available.

I'm thinking next year I'll run an LL game.
