GOOP Gallery 2.0.4 is officially released and available at Sourceforge as well as here. This is not a security release. This release improves set up time for novice users. Download, unzip, insert your photo directories, and upload to your webspace -- that's all you have to do.
Almost all code changes were confined to lib/gallery_config.php and index.php. If you are already running a copy of GG (hopefully 2.0.3) upgrading is optional.
